An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 105 (Taxation) of the Page County Code

Please Take Notice: That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Page, Virginia, shall hold a public hearing on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at Shenandoah Elementary School, 529 Fourth Street, Shenandoah, VA 22849, for the purpose of a public hearing on the proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 105 (Taxation) of the Page County Code.

The full text of the proposed amendments to the Ordinance may be viewed below or reviewed and inspected at the office of the County Administrator, in the County Government Center, 103 South Court Street, Suite F, Luray, Virginia 22835.

The public is invited to attend this public hearing to express their views thereon.

The Notice is given pursuant to § 15.2-1427 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the Page County Board of Supervisors shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Shenandoah Elementary School, 529 Fourth Street, Shenandoah, VA, to receive public comments and to consider the following:

Amendments to Section 125-4 Definitions:
Junk, Junkyard, Automobile Graveyard, and Visible

The County of Page, Virginia, intents to approve a Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement for the following real estate:


A parcel of real estate owned by the Town of Luray, Virginia, located just southeast of and adjacent to the Town's corporate limits in Luray Magisterial District, Page County, Virginia.  The parcel is identified on the Tax Maps of Page County as Parcel No. 52-(A)-58 containing 56.4198 acres and is further described on a plat by Racey Engineering.  The parcel is known as the Ralph H. Dean Recreation Park and is bound to the north by State Route 735 and Seventh Street; to the northeast and east by real estate owned by Franklin Riley, Judith Riley, and Christopher Riley; to the southeast by real estate owned by IBR Corporation; to the southwest by real estate owned by James and Donna Dalzell; and to the west by real estate owned by Annie Lee Clark-Lucas.  The purpose of the Agreement is to adjust the boundary between Page County and the Town of Luray so that the parcel lies within the Town's municipal boundaries.

The Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement and the plat are on file at the County's Office at 103 South Court Street, Luray, Virginia 22835, (540) 743-4142.  These items may be examined between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

Please take notice that the Page County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-3107 regarding this matter on May 15, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Shenandoah Elementary School at 529 Fourth Street, Shenandoah, VA 22849.
