The Planning Commission is a ten member body, two from each election district, appointed by the Board of Supervisors for four year terms. The Commission is established to perform those duties as set forth in Virginia Code Section 15.2-2221 and shall serve primarily in an advisory capacity to the governing body. Regular Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m., in the General District Court Room, located in the Courthouse. Work Sessions are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m., in the Board of Supervisors Room, located in the Courthouse. A Public Hearing on the Amendments to the Floodplain Ordinance is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the General District Court Room.
